Somehow I managed to get today and tommorow off, so I decided to have a two day fish-a-thon.

I got on the water at 11:00 and went straight to wittenberg to fish the sticks. It was already a little windy and was tough to fish so I headed to Lopez arm in the back of the lake. I found a point back there where I was sticking 1/2lb clones on almost every cast on drop shot. When I got bored of those fish I started throwing a 9" Sidewinder along the steep rock walls. On one rocky outcropping I got nailed by a good one that turned out to be 7.2lbs.

For the rest of the day, I alternated between the Slammer shallow, and The Sidewinder in deeper water. I couldn't get anything to come up for the Slammer, they just stayed deeper today. For the Sidewinder I got nailed by another good fish and reeled in half a bait. I threw out a new bait in the same spot and got hit again, but didn't hook up. There were even teeth marks up on the head, it just didn't find the hook. I'll be back out again tommorow so hopefully she's still there.

Nice Toad Phil! I enjoy reading your posts on this forum. Persistance pays off. What's the water temp and water level like now? Man, I can't wait to wet my line at Lopez again. :-)

Hey hey, looks like the new boat gets bit :) That's cool you got a sidewinder fish. I haven't popped any on that thing yet.
