Fished Legg today for a couple of hours hoping to find some sight fish, i ended up catching two in the middle lake and a buddy of mine caught one from the middle lake also. The fish were about 2 pounds, nice fish. We did see a really good fish that wasnt quite locked on on the edge of some tullies, she went around 6 plus pounds and gave out baits some good looks but never committed. Fishing was cut short when i dropped my cell phone in the water (damn)!!! Was talking to one of the locals down there and he said that there was a 17 pound fish caught out of there on a live crawdad last week or a few days ago or something.?? Wow thats a toad, Jerry G can you confirm? Did the guy release it? Give me a buzz Jerry im definitely gonna do somemore fishing around your way.

Hey Tsunami,
I fish this lake and other urban lakes. I wouldn't doubt that there is a fish in there pushing 17lbs. I've seen fish well over 10 cruising around. They do nothing but eat planted trout. I don't think too many people are throwing trout imitations at them.

Well guys you can definitely count me in for meeting up to fish. Just let me know when you guys have some time. I ussually hit up one of the SGV lakes each evening for an hour or two on weekdays. I go fish saltwater either Saturdays or Sundays. I fished Legg Lake this evening for about 1.5 hours. I got one about 2 lbs and another 1.5 lbs.

I was looking for a bigger fish but it didn't happen for me tonight. The shad are starting to show during the evenings in the big lake. I'm starting to see a few breakers on the shad schools which inspired me to put some effort in to fishing the topwater. I got a topwater fish the other day so hopefully that's a sign of things to come. There are some big fish in these lakes but getting them to bite is another story. See you guys out there on the water. Oh yeah all fish released tonight and every night.
