Need some news on where I can purchase some Big Hammer Swimbaits.
Website prices are steep, after taxes/S&H charges. Appreciate the
help. I'm out here in the Hemet Ca. Hitting Skinner on Sunday. Thanks.

Head out to the Fred Hall show, the big hammer/assalt booth is killer, and ask for David Fong he will definitely steer you in the right direction on your choices of baits.

Tsunami,
Thanks for the info. Will not be able to make it down to Long Beach this weekend. If the Fred Hall show will be in San Diego Convention Center, I will definitely go. There are 2 shops in San Diego that have the swimbaits but not the colors that I am looking for.

Hi there GdHkset,

Doesn't the Fred Hall show have a third show up north of LA! Check their website (?? www.fredhall.com ??) for the places and dates. I think it's Long Beach, Del Mar, then north in that order.

I bought about a 100 Big Hammers between the 3 and 4"'ers for those pesky surf perch, corbina, and halibut. Another cool bait is a bass bait called a FLASH-TRIX. Got the Tennessee shad type. Looking for a perfect grunion imitation!

JapanRon,
Again thanks for the info. Talked to my brother in Las Vegas this morning he said the show will be in Del Mar in a couple of weeks. The "Bass Zone" sounds killer at the show. Dave Fong I guess is the person to look up at the Big Hammer/Assault booth. Can't wait to go, first time for me. Thanks for the colors that are working for you, will pass it on to my bro in Newport Beach.

Hi there GdHkset,

I had to go just one more day today! ha ha On some other boards you will find Mr. Fong's posts. His handle is 'fongster' There's even a Big Hammer swimbait named after him! I found some FLASH-TRIX baits that ought to work for our surf fish and I'll try them tomorrow. The Tennessee shad kind of looks like grunion.

The Fred Hall show will be held in Ventura too.

Here is the dealer listing from the website. I'm not exactly sure where Hemet is, but maybe something on the list is nearby?

NoTrollMotor,

I was totally bummed all weekend. Did'nt get out to the Fred Hall show, and the boat never left the drive-way! So Skinner or Perris next weekend, ummm... may be thursday??? I already told my other half I have some business to take care in Del Mar on the 19th(Fred Hall show!). Thanks to "all" who posted to give me some great info on where to get "Big Hammer" swimbaits.
