This one is just for you Jeff L

Went to Silverwood with Eric K on Thursday. As we traveled up the road past the swept aside snow drifts, we knew conditions would be tough. The night before the snow had fallen, and air temp was in the low 40s. After launching and seeing the water temp in the high 40s, we started fishing jigs on steep banks. We were the ONLY BOAT ON THE WATER ALL DAY LONG!!!

We ended up catching six bass on two different spots all on black/blue jigs with black pork. The bite was from 9-10:30 AM, including a three fish 5 minute flurry on our first spot. All I can tell you about the bite is that when you are so cold, you can't move your rod or reel, you'd get bit. Can you say SLOW-crawling. Wind blew throughout the day, and it rained a little off and on. It was nice to have the lake all to ourselves, even though the wind often dictated where we could fish. Eric kicked my a@# getting two 6 pounders and a 4, but at least I caught a couple and stretched my line a bit.

Here's Eric with the two 6s (Yes it was that COLD!!!)
