8430, Anyone know if Woodridge was drained?
Posted by JerryG, Thu Feb-27-03 07:29 PM
I heard an uncomfirmed report that woodridge Lake was drained for maintainance can anyone confirm this. I tried calling my buddy who lives there but he's been out of town and out of touch. I was planning on taking a drive down there to check it out but if anyone could save me the trip with some info I would really apreciate it thanks.

There are actually 2 lakes in Woodbridge, they call them North Lake and South Lake, not sure which one is which. I fished the Lake with the restaurant on the water yesterday for a couple of hours, maybe the other lake was drained? I saw a few bass up shallow, I didn't get anything though. I saw a guy catch 2 using nightcrawlers, one looked like it might have gone about 3.5lbs. I'll be back and try again.

Drove past the south lake and it was fine today...

I've been meaning to fish this lake. Any ideas on where to set up and what to throw? I prefer plastics, so I'm assuming a texas or carolina setups or how about drop shotting? I live right by there and feel bad for not taking advantage of a free fishing resource right down the street from me. Any help would be appreciated... :)

Thanks for the info. I Talked to my buddy who lives there and he confirmed that they have not been drained. I had heard a rumor from a bass fisherman who lives in the area who mentioned that some repairs were made recently on the lake. He said he wasn't certain but he believed that it had been drained. Glad to hear that I got some bad information. I will be checking it out next week. See you on the water. Oh one more thing, the two lakes are actually connected by a narrow channel and I ussually will start in the vicinity of the restaruant myself. It should be happening.
