Bought some Armstrong crankbaits from bass world west the other day, Has anyone had some luck on these baits? I was fishing next to a guy this past summer at Perris who was just killing it w/ the shad colored crank. He was getting bit almost everycast to my four or five casts w/ the same color different brand crank. They say that they put out some massive water displacement and they keep the rattles out to keep em quiet and more natural. I bought 3 of em, shad, baby bass and the dark trout color. They swim bitchin, i just know these baits are gonna be money when the time is right. oh well if anyone has had any luck w/ these id like to hear about it. Good fishing everyone.

I personally know Brian Armstrong and if your at perris at night those are the BEST baits to throw. I have had several 20+ fish nights on them. Mark Munos was the one who introduced me to these baits and they are awsome. how much did they go for, $20? As far as color i don't think that the colors matter to much but i do have a few bitchen trout colored ones he calls River Trout. As for the water displacement it seems do displace as much or more than a spinnerbait does but it has a really tight wobble and doesn't pull to hard on the retrieve. They will only go to aout 6 feet on a god dy thought which makes them good to use from shore.

Yes!!! thats what i wanna hear brother!! I got em for 23 dollars a piece at Bass World West. And i also picked up the "river trout" color, do you think you get more bites on that color at night since its a darker bait sesonaljunkie? Right when i looked at that particular one all i was thinking was "dude Perris at night!!!!!". They retrieve so good and you are right they dont pull to hard so you can feel you bites better. Also do you think he would do any custom paint jobs for extra dough? Thanks for your input. Good fishing

He probably would I could try and get a hold of him. he used to live about 10 mins away from me but he moved and I havent realy talked to him since. Make sure you have a good glass composite rod. I was stuck using my imx using them one time and I landed like 1 out of every 3 fish. I use a seeker crankin rod I picked up from bww and its awsome. I think it was around 100 bucks.

Another Armstrong, Robert, has some killer baits too- he has one caller Shaved & Broken Rabbit Leg (???) that he airbrushed on a Rattletrap, sick bait for sure. I think the Rook knows how to get ahold of him-
