Fished Silverwood yesterday with the family. Water temp. 49.9, Breezy and cool. Got started about 8:00 a.m. and threw the 9inch Osprey switching over to a 7inch Slammer. After 5 or 6 casts...Wham I'm on! LM She went 7.5 lbs. I was pumped. I saw her chasing the bait and slowed the retrieve then popped the rod two or three times and she ate it. Then switched to the slammer and after two casts a Striper hits...what a charge! The fish went 5lbs. After, I concentrated on the kids and we found the bite to be in about 30ft. of water off the main points. We D/S using 4inch plastics and caught fish. Not much going on shallow. Too early. Lets see what happens in the next couple of weeks. It was a great day.

Good job on the LM! Did you get any pics of her? I went up to silverwood for an hour the other day and saw a lone bass cruising the shallows. Hopefully it will keep heating up.
