Woke up late this morning decided I wanted to go fishing, so i drove up to silverwood.Got there about 9:30.Got stopped by the warden and he checked my license and told me I needed a striper stamp. I told him I was after largemouth. He told me since I was a big lure ( 9 inch osprey) most of the wardens would think I was after stripers and to get one before I came back but I could fish today. After about 20 minutes i get drilled big time but somehow it doesnt stick. This is the first bite I've ever had on a trout plug . After that nothing at all. A guy did come up next to me and as we were talking caught 4 trout in about 20 minutes on a lil trout worm. I think I'm going to go try it again tomorrow morning.

where were you fishing when you got drilled? You should look into putting a stinger hook on your osprey or get a pro-rigged one,you might have got that fish.Keep throwing the big bait you'll get some big results!! :-)

Good luck tommorrow!!

I was fishing towards the east end of the dam. There is a little hole there where the trout seem to gather so i figured there might be some bigger fish hanging just outside it. Do you think adding a stinger hook or gettting a pro-rigged model will increase the chances of hooking up greatly? Im going to give it another shot in the morning.

From what I've heard and experienced myself is that the osprey tends to get bit alot but not hold onto the fish.Maybe if your throwing the 7 inch it might not be good to add a stinger but mayde look into the pro-rigged ones.If your throwing the 9 inch maybe add a stinger yourself.

This is all JMO and you might find that the stinger hook may ruin the action or foul up alot while casting.Just thought I'd mention it since you said you might have lost a fish.

I'd say keep lookin' for the trout too that's where some descent fish should be hanging around.
