Glad to hear that you had better luck than I did with the EON. I got one for Christmas last year. I thought that one of the cool features would be the disengaging level wind. Mine did not disengage. When I took it apart, I found that the tab that disengaged it had been ground off. I'm thinking that someone on the assembly line didn't get the memo about the new tab on the lever connected to the thumbar, and they are grinding it off thinking it is a mold defect.I returned it and got another 200 super-free.

I'm not trying to bag on the EON. For all I know it could have been a return and the tab ground off by the previous purchaser. Just a "heads-up" to check the disengage before walking out the door with one.

I'll defintely be checking the Phenix at the BWW show.
