Professional bass angler Jay Yelas will appear on the front of select Kellogg's Corn Flakes boxes this month.

The limited-edition boxes will be available exclusively at Wal-Mart.

See I feel that this is interesting. It show the progression of Bass Fishing as a sport.

I'm not going ot start a flame war with you. I would hope you could do the same. I'm not really sure what I said that pissed you off so much.

As for the post, it's not like this forum gets 20 posts a day. This is something that migh spark a conversation.

Actually I'd like to know what the group feels, if you think this was a waste of space say so. If you liked it post that you liked it.

I thought it was interesting. It's nice to see pro's get the respect they deserve. I think it was Denny Brauer that was on a Wheaties box some time ago. It caused an uproar from animal rights activists like peta. That's always nice to see :)

I've got to agree with you. Scott, this was interesting. I probably would have never heard that if you didn't post it. Well I guess then if Aaron would have won, would he be on that box?

I think this is of interest to most out there.
As for the PETA thing, man those guys crack me up. They feel Wheaties shouldn't use an angler to promote their cereal because fishing hurts animals. However a football player(used to use pig skin footballs), a baseball player(leather baseballs and gloves), hockey player(helpless octupi hurled to the ice by fans), or soccer player(crushing defenseless insects all game long) are not targeted as a problem by PETA. What gives? At least we release our catch with the intention of mercy and conservation. I'm gonna eat a sh*tload of Yelas boxed Wheaties and then mail every box cover to PETA in a leather envelope, with a cat gut tie string, address it with a squid ink pen and mail it with horse glue postage stamps. Wheaties aren't made with animals are they??? LOL...

As for PETA, there is no rational way to figure out fanatics- a couple screws loose here and there, most of them probably don't even know what the heck they are protesting- lots of ignorant people will follow someone of a cliff, like those lemmings- let them all fall of that cliff, they are ridiculous- but we have to be careful, they do have a voice. Common sense does wonders when dealing with fanatics.
