5909, Anglers Little Lake 9-27-02 Posted by JBYRD23, Sat Sep-28-02 04:50 PM
I picked Rick up at 6:30 and left for Anglers Little Lake. We got there at 7:25, five minutes before they opened, so we scrambled to tie on some rigs. We both tied on power worms. There wasn't many people here for a Friday, which really surprised me. After we got our permits, we pulled out and went to a spot Rick suggested, surpsislingly nobody was there. First cast of the day Rick nails a trout, about a 1.5 pounder. Rick brings in two more before I bring in one. I then bring in two more to match Rick 3 to 3. After missing many more fish, Rick gets some more, then the tides turned again, and I was getting them and he was missing them. Around 11 they stocked the lake, and the fishing really got slow in our area. A few guys went right to the stocked area, and nailed a few, but they all moved for deeper water. Rick and I then went down by the dam and that was the right idea. We got a few more before we called it day. We decided to keep most of the fish we caught since they have no limit. Our stringer had a total of 25 trout ranging between 1 and 2 pounds.
Here's a pick with our stringer: http://www.socalfishing.net/pictures/anglers1.jpg
