hey Bassnet or any of you guys who have fished here.....im having a lot of trouble getting fish out of here and it seems to get worse. what do u guys use and when do u go? i know its tough no matter what but theres gotta be somehting that works.....whats the better pond? also tell me if you think this is a good idea....might not be due to the area....but i want to get some crawlers and go out there for a few at night and put some of those worms on the bottom for maybe a big fish cause i know it has them.
Also i know of 2 places in san juan u have probably never fished let me know if you ever would want to check them out....one consistantly produces fish from 3/4 a pound to 5 pounds on every thing you throw, on every other cast on a bad day. its easy but fun....the other is tougher and fewer fish....but fun. let me know i can also just tell you about them too, the reason why is cause i wanna hear other reports on them. Thanks!!!

DON'T BE FOOLED GROMMY, THOSE 2 PONDS HAVE SOME TOADS IN BOTH OF THEM, IT IS A VERY TOUGH BITE THOUGH, ALWAYS DONE GOOD ON A DROPSHOT, (LONG LEADER TO GET ABOVE THE GRASS) ALSO, I HAVE HAD MORE BITES ON A FROG, (MAINLY PENELOPE) THAN ANYTHING THERE, HIT OR MISS THOUGH, GIVE IT A SHOT, TRY PUTTING A DROPSHOT WEIGHT ON THE SHANK OF THE HOOK, (RIGHT BELOW THE EYE) BEFORE YOU PUT THE HOOK INTO THE BELLY OF THE BAIT, IT MAKES FOR A NICE CONSISTENT, STRAIGHT FALL!!!!! WHERE IS THE GOOD POND YOU SPEAK OF GROM-DOG???????

Try little pop r's right next to the shore. The fish seem to sit right next to the cement barrier. Just pop it a little and let it sit.

Also try a weightless worm. Those fish like little baits. I use to throw a reaper with no weight. Sometimes I would fish it like a Zara spook on the surface. There are some toads in there. I haven't fished it for about 7 years but I used to pull 4-5 pound fish out of there.

Also check the creeks theat flow into the ponds. We used to put fish in those when we were younger. There is one big one that used to have a 6 pounder in it.

Fun place to fish.
Good luck
