I think your best bet for closest lake and quality bass is silverwood but the bite is tough up there and pretty much every where right now!I really could not tell you a good pattern right now at silverwood, maybe someone else could(sorry)As far as corona lakes i've been there and have seen pic's of bass, unfortunately most people there are trout and catfish fisherman(meat eaters)and most bass caught don't make it back into the water! All I can tell you from seeing the place is that it's usually stained to muddy water and one side of the lake is half submerged trees. That's probably a good spot, only excessable by boat and lot's of cover.I'd bring some hefty line though, break off city right there!!!

Good luck....tight lines....release those phatties....
and damn my spelling sucks....stay in skool.....

I use to work there and I did really good during the winter on black & blue jig-n-craws. Shakin worms is good too but the structure there tends to take your tackle like the damn at perris. Corona pumped out a 12lb bass last year and I got some really nice fish during the fall too. Summer fishing always sucked for me. Berkley craws on the black & blue jigs did the trick on a consistent basis. The rocks on the opposite shoreline were always the best but the transition between the rocks and the wood produced the toads. Use a lighter jig too, 1/4 oz and you won't get snagged too much. You need the dark colors as the water there is stained usually. Go with 15lb test and the rocks and trees in that place are brutal. I had many days where I caught nothing but when it turns on it can be WIDE ! Good Luck.

theres got to be some big bad trout eaters inthere. how much does aday of c&r bass fishing set you back, with a launch fee as well most likey over twenty bones (ouch).if i worked there though, that would be fun..whats up with those wipers out there, ever get into any of those mini stripers, witch could suck down a few planters no problem.lots of fish sticks there in the winter.

later, fish or die!!!!!!!!!

Lakes in the Riverside County include Fisherman's Retreat, Hemet, Perris and Skinner on the outskirts. Perris and Skinner are probably the best for bass...but any of these at the right time can produce good size bass, good luck!:)
