Today Summer and I got up to the lake around 4ish. We started out in the swimming pool cove where Summer promptly landed a small bass on a 1/8 oz speed trap. After that it was slow for a long while until I landed one about 2lb on the 5" fish trap around the island in the back of the cove. The rest of the swimming pool cove was pretty dead too and the weather was cloudy with a decent breeze blowing. So after that I decided to drive the boat down to Salsipuedes bay and fish one of my favorite little coves down there. Well it turned out pretty lousy and we didn't have any bites. So we were going to go back to the marina but stopped off in Jackass canyon instead. This was good because we finally had some decent luck. I landed a nice 3lb or so fish on the fish trap. The fish did a nice bellyflop for the boat next to us. Then towards the back I landed another small one about 1.5lb and we called it a day.
