This report is a bit old, sorry. I made it to the lake Wednesday around 5:00pm and met up with some guys who had seen the page. What's up Elywn, Dale , and Josh. Elywn and Josh fished in a canoe while Dale and I fished in my boat. We started in Salsipuedes bay and I caught two small ones on the speed trap pretty quick. Then I switched over to the Castaic gizzard shad but missed them both ( I think they weren't very big fish ). After a bit we went over to Jackass canyon but it pretty suckey save for a small one that Dale caught on a rattle trap. So it was getting late and the crankbait bite was less than spectacular so Dale and I headed over by whiteoak to try the shallow areas over there. I switched to a spook and had a blowup on the first cast which turned out to be about 2lb. A second later Dale got another one on the rattle trap about 12-13". We fished in there as it got darker and I missed another blowup but that was it before I drove the boat back down to Salsipuedes to drop Dale off. When we talked to Elwyn and Josh they said they had just caught one each on the banjo minnow. Ouch, well at least it works I guess =). I was going to head straight back but I pulled in across from whiteoak for a few last casts and caught another 2lb'er on the spook. And that as they say, was that.
