Well here I am in Nor Cal, and I finally got situated with the boat and the trailer and everything so Summer and I decided to go check out Anderson Reservoir. We got over there around 10am and launched the boat only to find out I put the trolling motor on the wrong set of holes so ... 15 minutes later after re-mounting it we headed out. Having no clue about the lake we just ran up to the left and started fishing a mile or so from the marina. Tried dropshotting, 10inch power worms, cranking, and of course the MS Slammer for nothing for the first maybe 3 hours or so. It was bluebird sky conditions with 15mph winds, not exactly ideal. Finally after running further up the lake I got big on a big fat free shad, only thing was it was literally a 4 incher, you can check it out in the picture below... So after finally catching something I was feeling better. An hour or so later I cranked ANOTHER 4 incher, no picture this time, it was painful. Well a few minutes later we came by one of the rare trees in this barren lake and I flipped a 10 inch power worm in there and felt that familiar mushyness. Set the hook and the fish just starts strafing the line back and forth over the branches. Well we crashed boat in there, Summer was on the spot by grabbing the branches, and I pulled out a solid 5 and a half! So that was nice after those 4 inchers. After that I had one more tap tap on the 10 inch worm for the rest of the day and we called it quits. I suppose Anderson could be a fun lake if you could get on a crankbait bite there or a rip bait bite or something (Oh and get rid of the jillion water skiiers too) but other than that it's pretty much a worm jig lake.
Here's the photography, courtesy of Summer of course.

Ok, what is bigger the crank or the bass?

This one made the trip worth it.
