Well it was back to the ponds today. I hit it on my lunch break for about an hour and the bite was pretty good. Threw a chartreuse blade today. I had two fish come up and smack it and not get hooked before I got one. That fish was 2-6. A ways down the bank I had a good solid thump and that one turned into a 4-0. Nice and healthy looking. Shortly after I picked up one more about 2lbs and then lost another good one that was probably about 4lbs. The fish kind of dug his face into the bottom when he got shallow and shook off. I have been having fun fishing blades, but they annoy me because you seem to miss a lot of bites even with a trailer hook.

So speaking of missing them, the evening trip was kinda slow for me. Fished for about an hour and a half and had two bites but they both just gave it a shake and spit it out. Nothing on the brush hog. Dave was out in his tube and got some really nice fish before I got there. I'll let him tell about that if he wants.

Here's some pics
