I know this is a bit north for most of you, but has anyone been to Berryessa lately? At this point I would be happy hearing from anyone who knows someone whose been up lately. Anyway, I have an event there this weekend and was(once again)hoping you guys would have some ideas as to what is happening there. I am pretty familiar with the lake, and I do have a game plan. I just haven't been there in a while. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Clay.

My partner was up there last weekend and caught fish to 2 3/4 lbs below the "narrows", cranking 5' to 10' on chunk rock banks. He was also shaking worms 15' to 20' on points. Water temp was 50 to 53 degrees. Good luckin your tourny. Tom

Hey Tom,

I must have been there at the same time. I prefished on Sat and fished a little fun tourney with Anglers world. We didn't crank any but we also caught fish dartheading in 20 to 40 feet of water. We caught aroung 20 fish on game day but couldn't find any bigger than two pounds. I did get a 7 lb largemouth on prefish day hopping a Rodstrainer jig down the rocks by the Dam. To bad I didn't get that one on Sun. We ended up in 5th with a 6.14 lb 5 fish bag. 1st was 7.56lbs I think. Big fish was a measly 2.10. Quantity was there but no Toads.

Hi!

"Fish" Chris from www.trophybassonly.com knows Berryessa well. Why don't you visit his site and his "Fish Talk" Forum?
