Went to Naci this afternoon to check it before the Bass-n-Tubes tournament next weekend. Didn't get there until around 1 because it was raining hard in the morning and I didn't feel like getting dumped on. It cleared up pretty decent despite one rain shower around 4. I fished in the marina area all over for about 2 hours without a bite to the point where I was just about to leave, but instead I moved to another area. In my first couple casts my jig is sliding along this piece of structure and all of a sudden it starts accellerating to the side. Hookup, and I took a couple cranks and see the fish roll on top. Holy sh*@!%t. The fish looked like a solid 5 pound largemouth, not what I was expecting at Naci. Unfortuneately it got it's head turned in my moment of exclamation and hung my jig on something on the bottom and shook off. Whoa so that was interesting. After that I got 4 more bites landing 2 small spots on the jig and 1 on a split shot 4" worm. They were all about 12 inches and shaped like trout rather than bass. If it hadn't been for that big bite I would have considered it a wash, but if I'm luck I can relocate that fish next weekend. I'd say the odds are 1 in 100. Har har...
