For flipping the thick stuff I've thrown out the jigs and just use a texas rigged brush hog. I have no plans to ever go back. No snags, and gets tons of bites from all sizes of fish.

For what it's worth, though. I used to do great with the old version of the Wadda jig (R&B) when flipping. It's a really stupid looking jig, but it got a lot of bites and was designed for fishing in heavy cover.
