Today I got up to the lake at around 6:00pm. I started fishing on the east side of the marina cove and fished
clear down to vaca flats. Throwing the 7" AC minnow as is often the case, I hooked a nice one right away
but it came off the hook at the boat. In some small coves past the white oak ramp I had two more strikes
but farmed them both. When I got to jackass canyon I cut across but I think that that area has been getting
really hammered lately and I didn't have any luck there. It was getting late so I went back to the marina
cove, farming two bass on the zara puppy. Well it isn't often that I don't put any fish in the boat at Margarita
but today was one of those days. Maybe next time I'll have to do some worm fishing. The fish are definitely in
the post spawn and the weed beds are getting thicker by the day.
