Beautiful lake, awesome day. Headed out with my girlfriend... ha ha . Great experience. Anyway. Threw spro wakebait all day 3 hours. Mainly off the points comming from shallow water. The water was super clear... I got to this one point thinking about all ive read ( from you guys) and make a few long casts... and 1 big ass bass is following my bait right to the boat than heads down. Gave me some positve reinforcement that I was doing the right thing.

Make my way down the shore in to a cove 10 feet of water and see a few holding close to submerged trees and brush!!! Still making long casts with the wake bait oh yea there is no wind and its 85 degrees.
Once again a big bass follows the bait to the boat ... So I start throwing a 6" swimbait wammo .. got bit . Missed it. No fish .. Felt good gettin bit though. My time will come .. Trophy time By the way it was the biggest wakebait you can probably buy. And any sugestions when there following it but not striking would be awesome!!!

All in all a great day.

You will get tons of followers in that clear water, that's all I got for several days.

My thoughts are you would have gotten bit before you ever saw the fish if they were really going to hit your lure. It's really tough with no wind or cloud cover and you and the fish are just looking at each other. :P

Those DVL bass have seen an swimbait or two....or three ;-)

Fish the points when the wind comes up in the afternoon with the wake. That's a fun lake and I'm dying to fish it again.
