Great job at Margarita. I keep reading your posts and I can't get out there fast enough. Hopefully monday I can get out there but all I can do is sit back and watch you smacking those fish. It's just like old times when all I see is Margarita reports from you. You make it hard to stay at work......BassMan

I feel really spoiled getting to fish some weekdays. There were 12 or 15 boats today but it didn't feel crowded at all. The fishing right now is funny, it's not like it's good fishing - but you can get bites. Margarita is not the same lake it used to be in 97-99 when I used to fish there a lot.

The fish are (finally) starting to set up on all the places I used to catch them, but with more fish in the 4lb+ range, a lot of the easy bites that used to happen at that lake like topwater and cranking in post spawn don't seem to be there so much. I am still holding out for topwater fishing, it has to happen sooner or later. Two more weeks and that whole lake is going to be one giant weed mat :)
