Woke up this morning and built a 5’ tall x 10’ wide ant farm, filled it with soil and put 6 squirrels in it. Can’t wait till they dig tunnels and stuff. After that I went on a looooong hike. I wanted to be alone and clear my head. I found several new beautiful ponds(pools) but they didn’t seem to have much fish in them. You see some strange things if you hike far enough.

I throw big stuff all morning like Mattgillies and 15” worms but, I didn’t catch anything. Dark Lady laughed and danced and lit the candles one by one, danced to her gypsy music till her brew was done (Cher is cool). On my way back to my car I hit some familiar pools to get my fix. None of my big fish were home, but some small guys were around.

Got this dude on the elephant fly. I seen a house fly, I seen a horse fly, I seen a dragon fly.

I seen a peanut stand, I heard a rubber band, I seen a pokadot railroad tie.

I actually had some bites from some real bass in the 14-15” range on some Madman craws on jigs, but I only brought two and they are now decorating some creek logs. Once you swing and miss in a tiny crystal clear creek pool you kinda blow your cover and ruin the spot. Slipping and falling down and cussing and getting your other pole’s lures stuck in some trees doesn’t help your stealth factor either. This fish report was brought to you by the letter F and the number 6.
