Hello,

I am new to the board, and I wanted to post a report from last Saturday, 3/4. A couple of buddies and I went to Lake Casitas to play around in our "new to us" boat. We started the morning off throwing swimbaits (castaics and hudds) for nothing, moved around a little and switched to throwing soft plastics in the shallows around and in flooded brush. My buddy hooks up with one but it throws the hook right at the boat. About 5 minutes later I hook up and am able to land it for the first fish of our "new" boat.

Hung around the same area for a while, but no more takers. Wind was picking up now so we moved to a couple different spots trying to get out of the wind, but I swear the wind was shifting just to mess with us. Luckily, a little later, my buddy who lost the fish earlier hooks up and lands this guy.

That was it for the day. Both fish were released. I caught mine on an assalt stick and both of his bites came on a robo worm he was drop shottin'.
