Had not planned on fishing this weekend with the trout derby kicking off on Friday. But I just could not help it. Slipped the ole' boat in at fist light and headed for the east end. Started by throwing reaction baits but it only took about an hour to realize that the bass were not interested. Switched to worms and hit one fish on the south end of arrowhead. Have no idea how big he was as I pulled the knot and lost him. (Cold hands and 10 thumbs this morning does not equal good knots. Live and learn I guess). The weather rolled in early and the sky darkened, wind picked up and the rain hit about 10:00. Hauled out and went home. Water temp is at 61 on average. Still didn't see any shallow fish. I'll update next Thursday.

thanks for the report ,the weathers been tough lately for us here on the central coast.I did pretty well at lopez last weekend for bass,but no trout to report.I will fish somewere locally saturday,will leave report if i do well.
