I went to high school in west hills and used to fish all the time around there. First spot is Calabasas Lake, yes it is private, but just park down one of the culdasacs and sneak in, my friend caught a 10 pounder with a lizard plastic on some lily's, we had a scale there and everything. Security guard might be there and kick you out but its no big thing. Another is the little lake inside the gated community Hidden Lake I believe. Go during the day and the security guard wont be at the kiosk booth. Another wide open bite. Finally, the lake of all, Sherwood Lake right over the hill in Thousand Oaks, that place is nuts, my friend and I have gone triple-triple there. Anything will get bit. Security guard there too but just tell them you live there and theyll leave. Probably some of the best bass fishing in the whole area, if you had a tube it would be heaven. just keep sneaking around youll find places. peace
