Headed out to DVL today with my step son, on the water at 6:30. spent most of the time teaching him to cast but managed a few smaller fish on the top water and a really nice follower on the big swimbait (marked that spot ;) )

Just moved from cove to cove and picked a fish evey now and then. I did get slammed on a little worm and 8# and just kinda cranked it in and when I looked down ...... "HOLY CRAP!" this was a toad. after seeing the boat she headed straight down and was peelin drag on my calcutta 50 :D then after about a minute *pink* she was gone ... clean break looked to be between 6#-8#'s anyhow it was a nice fish. Home by 3:00

I should be heading out there again tommarrow with my other son
