Does anyone fish Lake Casitas. Im going there for a whole week in early June and was wondering where the hotspots are for bass and catfish. What are the hot baits and lures to use there for bass and catfish. And what colors are good.

Well Casitas in June is kind of tough! If you don't know thew lake that well you will see what I mean. But if you know the lake at least somewhat you could scratch a few fish out.Your best bet would be to fish for catfish with makeral in the wadliegh arm area or near the break in deep cat. As for the bass (you'll need a boat), well probably fishing worms in the 25-35ft range in the back side of the lake. You could use the regular assorted colors that work on all lakes: Oxblood red flake, Arron's Magic, & shad colors. There might be an early topwater bite first thing. Try sammies, pop-r's, flukes, & maybe a crank or jerkbait.

Hope this helps and good luck.
