Hit pudd in the float tube sat. for some jig fishing. Got a 3lber right off the bat in front of the sailboat launch. That was it for the day, fished from 1:30 to 4:30. I can almost taste spring coming.

have you had any luck with swimbaits at pudd? I am trying to figure out what is best to use from shore. Last fish I caught there was with a purple worm. maybe we can hook up someday to terrorize some fish there.

Swimbaits will work at pudd and if you fish swimbaits there all the time by this time next year you will have caught a few real nice fish but the numbers of fish will never even come close to the amount of bass that purple worm will catch you at Pudd. The worms catches big fish too. Other colors worth throwing would be Oxblood, black with either red or blue flake or even with no flake at all. Brighter colors for spawn and greens after the spawn. Aran's Magic also shad patterns will work good there at times. Purple is my favorite color worm for pudd this time of year. See you on the water.

Thanks for the info. I guess I just have to learn to be more patient with the worms. Btw, sail cove still the best bet?
