Thanks to Bert7 for the update on the trout plant. I've landed a few large stripers on cut bait and some small ones on live shad. But haven't had any luck with lures. I have a Pencil Popper, a trout Super Spook, and one of those big AC plugs, but I haven't really fished any of them much. What do you recommend using? Is there something else that's a good producer? Where do you recommend fishing for the stripers after the trout plant, around the dam near boat launch? Please reply -- I want to see my 6-year-old land a 10-pounder!
Thanks to all for your help!

Great fishing Im glad you got some striper. I fished for trout this morning at 7:30 5 cast produced about 20 bumps and 3 trout they were biting all day till I left at 2:30. I did not see any striper boil any ware. they planted 3000 lb.
