Word from the folks at the Pyramid marina is stripers and trout are both going strong. Stripers on cut 'chovies at the dam and yellowbar and trout on lures around the marina. I think I'm changing my plans from Castaic to Pyramid for Sunday. If you hit Pyramid on Saturday, drop a post so I can see how you did.

Good luck!

Hit up Pyramid on Saturday.

I met up with 3 of my buddies (2 boats), and we started off in the marina looking for some shad...nothing.

Threw some swimbaits near the launch for nothing, then made our way to Yellowbar for some stripers. We fished Yellowbar for a couple hours, and only metered fish once.

We then made our way to the dam, and it didn't look like much was going on there either, so we made our way back to the marina. When we got to the marina, we found some shad...so we filled up the tank and headed to Lost Mine, then to Yellowbar for nothing.

Beautiful day on the water, but the fishing was SLOW. Typical saying..."you should have been here yesterday!"

Man, remember that epic striper bite at Pyramid this time last year?!?!?!
