Hmmm, Santa Margarita on the weekends is becoming more and more crowded as the weather gets better.<BR> There were tons of people at the lake today and it was nice although windy in the afternoon. My girlfriend<BR> and I started out in the marina cove where we saw some fish boiling on shad but didn't get any out of that<BR> spot. I caught a two and a half pounder on the Castaic baby bass while reeling it over a tree. Summer caught<BR> a small one on a minnow and then we headed up towards the narrows. The water back there has warmed<BR> up considerably and we tried for crappie for a while with no luck. Summer caught another small bass and I had<BR> a decent one jump all over my popper but miss it. Back by the marina around dark I caught a couple more<BR> dinks on the surface stuff and we called it a night.
