This would be only 1 suggestion. Try different methods as well. Since they have begun planting trout & cooler temps have arrived try trolling a 6" swimmer (trout-imitation) around the dam for stripers. But, first off get there as early as possible, throw your swimmer around the boat dock area. Try various spots near there.
