I haven't been lately, but I've been many many times in the past 18 years. It's usually the same story every trip. Start up around the bridge and work your way down to the last big hole. Somewhere in there, there should be some planters. Sight fishing them with a single salmon egg and 2lb test with no weight works well :) Try to find a big rock to stand on by the holes so you can see down in the water better. Last year I caught a dozen or so in one hole like this. It's fun watching them take the bait. There are a few browns in that stretch although I've never seen one over 12". Pins minnows will get them, but be nice and let them go. Have a fun trip. Don't forget to hit the forebay with kastmasters and bouyants, and the inlet at Huntington is always good for some fish.

By holes I guess I just mean pools. All along the river there are pools of varying size. When they plant the trout they go around with a bucket and put them in the deep pools, so that's where the majority of the fish wind up.
