You know....you could fold a piece of paper inbetween the weights to keep them from rattling. You could even use shotgun pellets in a buttcap instead of paying for the balancers. Yes you do add more weight but, when the outfit is balanced at the reel it lightens up the tip (and the whole outfit, so it seems), creating a more "sensative" tip. A good quality "balanced" rod and reel with flourocarbon will open up a whole new perspective.
