Went to the the lake this evening. Had heard talk of ferocious bite in the narrows last weekend so I went up there. Bite was completely dead, probably something to do with the 3 inches of rain on Monday. Talked to Mark Hinson and Austin, they weren't doing too much either. Oh well, it was raining when I got there but cleared up so that was nice. As it got dark I went to my usual stuff down on the main lake. First cast I make with a 5.5 inch fishtrap I get a 2 pounder. Got another one a little bigger a few minutes later followed by a smaller on a speedtrap as it got dark. Fish were out off the bank pretty far. Almost thought I was going to get skunked at the beginning. Wait a week and it will be back on.
