I fish for them when it is too cold or too hot for bass. My rod of choice is a 7.5' ul w/ 4-2lb line and corn. I usally catch them in the 5-15lb range on a 30 minute fight! I have killed a fw reels this way but it is great fun! The biggest one I have cought was around 40lb+ at a restraunt on the delta where they feed them scraps the can be seen year round 5'+ bring the stand up rods LOL
