forgot Rock Creek. the hike into Little Lakes valley (LLV), though relatively easy, can be tough because of the altitude.... took my dear old dad...he's 65 and he had a tough time. that first hill up can be tough if you're out of shape or older cause at 10k ft elevation, the air is thin.

either pick a spot at rock creek lake. that's pretty navigable with older folks. or, hit the lower portions at east fork campground. or mosquito flats trailhead to LLV. and mind you, it's not called mosquito flats for nothing. bring replellant, the kind with DEET. you will need it. for that fact anywhere on rock creek.

you can even try lee vining/saddlebag creek at tioga pass. where the creek crosses the road (hwy 120) is a pretty good spot. dfg stocks there, watch the stocking reports. there is a parking lot and campground right there. easily accesible but it can get crowded on weekends.
