I fished from shore two weeks ago without even a smell. Not too serious just threw a pop-r and a red crankbait. It is tough without a tube or raft or something. They have posted no swimming or wading signs there though since those people drown a few years back and they might not want anyone tubing it anymore but I'm not sure. Let me know if you have any luck though.
