I am... I usually fish at least twice a week, and then go on sessions like I am right now, where I fish Carneros or the harbor like every freakin day.

If ya fish every saturday and sunday that 104 days a year throw in some hoildays, road trip and sick days 125+ isnt that much. Now 300+ is sick thats what most full time Pro's fish. I dont know if even I could handle that since the other 65 days a year are on the road to the next tournie. Some of the big boys have been doing it for over 10 years, incredible!

I'm on pace to fish about 150 days this year. But I think close to a half of those are 1-3 hour sessions before/after school or whenever I find a few spare hours.

Last year I logged 270 days on the water with that being a trip for one hour or tournament days that lasted the whole day. Due to medical problems this year my fishing has been cut in half to maybe Ill break 175 days this year. Anybody that wants to fish from boat, floattube,or kayak give me a yell and we will meet up. Im in Fallbrook but traveling is usually not a problem. Also looking for a partner for the WON team tourneys down here in So.California if anyone is interested. I sold my bass boat last year so hopefully someone out there is interested that has a boat.

ps:had to sell boat for attorney fees, divorced and she was not going to get any part of my boat.

Hey Steve, glad you found the site finally. I'd fish the WON with you, but my boat is out for repairs.

To everyone else: Since he wouldn't plug himself with out an invite I'll do it for him...this is the Steve I fish with that makes those big ass grubs I love so much. He is also an excellent angler in both the fresh and the salt. He's a really nice guy and if you want to learn the San Diego bays, he's the one to call. Or, if you like the fresh, ask him how he did in WON the last year...

Welcome to the forum Steve, glad you found your way here :) I saw your post about fishing two hundred plus days a year and was thinking, wow this guy is into it! Would like to hear more about giant grubs if you are willing to tell.

836, Lets see your grubs

Is there somewhere we could see them? Could you post a picture of all you available colors and sizes next to a scale on a white piece of paper with printing so we can see how much translucency the colors have and what size they are?

Tight lines,

I can post some pictures no problem of the grubs. I will say that I have done this before and its had to sometimes to really tell what the actual color is. If anyone who is interested will send me thier address to tightlinelures@aol.com, I will be happey to send a couple of grubs up for you to try. If anyone lives near the SD area I will be happy to meet and give you some them. When you send the email let me know what colors you may be interested in and Ill send something to that effect for you. As far as transparency of the grub I can make it more or less depending on what the custmer wants. I make them harder or softer, more flake or less, same with salt and scents all depending on what the customer wants. That is what I think is one of the best things about hand pouring is that you can tailor the bait to suit the angler and not having to settle for what is available. When I pour the grubs for ED I use a different formula than when I pour them for me, just as a example I make my grubs alot softer than ED does and on his grubs I add hardner to the head of the grub and softner to the tail for more action.
Ok sorry about the rant I can talk about this stuff for hours on end. So email me with your address or when we can meet and fish and Ill get some of these grubs to you.
