Just to reinforce what amish ed said if your going to be using bait, you'll want a non-level wind, such as a 400S, SLX20HV, or say a 525 mag. If your throwing plastics, try the regular calcutta 400, a 965, or a daiwa 300a, which is the size of a ct400 but has way better drags, and tighter tollerances, cheaper too. I've fished with all of them except the 300a, and you can't go wrong with either, but like everyone else said, the calcutta is beter than the penn.
