3549, RE: The annual goals for the new year post Posted by Team Striper, Wed Dec-21-05 02:29 PM
Good Luck Rob!
My main goal is also left over from last year: Really would like to set a new personal best for tuna, 150+ would do but I really want to break the 200 lb. mark. Probably should have been on a long range boat this fall.
Making the top 10 in the SWBA (Salt Water Bass Anglers) series is also a primary goal. A challenging one at that considering the level of competition, the small (but growing) amount of time I actually dedicate to calico fishing & the unfamiliar waters the series covers. Last year Karl (OkieBug) & I finished 11th even after winning the only event on my home waters.
The past 3 years our season has really revolved around the Wester Outdoor News - Saltwater Series, which has served us well. Finishing 6th 2 yrs. ago, 1st last year & 2nd by only 3 points this year which was tough to swallow. We don't want to let that happen again this year but from what I understand the series is going through a major overhaul & will be a different animal next year so I have no idea what to expect at this point.
Good Luck to all on your individual goals!
Josh
