Man, some people just don't get it! This is out of the newest WON:

"Today there were at least 200 anglers fishing shoulder to shoulder on one of the docks," said game warden Lynette Reynolds on Sunday, "and some anglers are taking more than their share."

Reynolds cited one angler from Sacramento this past week with an extra 123 crappie over the 25-fish limit and was busy citing others.

I don't care what type of fish you pursue, that is ludicrous!!! 148 crappie x( What the hell are you gonna do with 148 crappie? Not only is that waste and abuse, but to be able to catch that many fish in less than 1 days time, there can't be too much 'sport' involved. Cast line, real line in, put fish in barrell, repeat?!

People like this are the ones that bring the nasty regulations and limitations on the sporting angler industry. They should have published his name!!! I hope that anyone that witnesses such an atrocity reports it! You can help without confrontation. Just call Cal-Tip 1-888-334-2258 I have the number stored in my cell phone just for an event like this.

That same guy who kept all those crappie will be the same guy who bitches the loudest next year when crappie fishing is tough and he can't catch any. At least DFG is out there doing their job.

Ive fished Clear Lake for nine years, and during all those years all I ever heard from crappie fishermen was how the crappie fishing was no good, and something caused they to disappear. Crappie pops do have a cycle that they run, with high levels then low, and theres not much you can do to change that, but overharvest definitely contributes.

This is the first year in 9 that Ive heard of crappie being this thick on Clear Lake. And last year was the first in 8 that Ive seen sooooo many shad a Clear Lake, the two have to be connected. Last year I was in areas that were sick thick with shad, to the point where I had to leave, I was snagging shad on every cast.

But you know how fishermen are. They dont see there own actions as affecting anything, its always somebody elses fault. For example, and I dont know this person but what he posted is right on with this conversation, he was bitching about the reserves in the ocean (he posted on this website). People just lack the long term objectives of certain things, those things that provide them with the enjoyment they get out of life. Ok, Im done complaining. Nice photo on NCBF, I know where you caught them (not)! ha ha ha.....

Once @ Barrett I caught a few guys filetting and ice chesting some nice bass on the shoreline.to say the least the damn keeper and fish and game were waiting for them when they got back to the dock.Barret is a catch & release lake for those not fimiliar.if you've never fished it its as close to mexico as we have here in california and ten fish per rod is usually the minimum.to me its the best place to try a new bait too ,the black bass there eat lures aggressively.
