Yeah dude, fred hall Nor-Cal isn't nearly as good as the Long Beach show. The ISE San Mateo and Pleasanton shows are usually a bit better. The shows in Nor-Cal are really week in general on bass fishing gear. They usually have some good speakers on the bass tank, but the tackle selection is nothing to get excited over.

Here's the schedule for the San Mateo ISE show. Their other shows should also be on that page:

3 hours for the fred hall SF??.. last year i wouldnt have gone except I got some free tickets... and that's the same reason I'm going this time.. got 2 free tickets... The ISE San Mateo show would be the best one to go to around here.. the site is www.sportsexpos.com for the dates.

Then again I DID drive 5 hours to BWW and back in the same day... }(

but I had a blast ! I met, and had about a 1 hour talk, with one of my big bass idols growing up, Dan Kadota. Super nice guy. What a great experience.

Listened to a 1 hour digital photography seminar...

Saw some cool new gear (especially from my sponsers at Okuma :-)

I love these shows.... and hope to go to the San Mateo show in two weeks :-)

Peace,
Fish

No doubt people could have had a good or even a great time at the Fred Hall show... but based on my opinion.. if I was driving 3 hours to visit a show... The ISE show would give me more bang for my buck... it usually has the same vendors plus LOTS MORE... more guides and lodges, trips etc... It also has the whole hunting section if your into that. That being said I did have fun at the Fred Hall show... didnt buy anything but did see some nice new lures that if they are being sold at the ISE show I might buy...

It was great I liked the whole thing .Next year it would be nice if they could get some lure company from the east.

what i like the most of fred hall is that it caters to us here on the left coast. i love seeing what our locals are making.because you know it applies to our lakes etc..its been for ever since i bought anything but a handpour made locally.unless of course you consider roboworms mass produced.
