Rob, I'm with you on the tri-tip! Hard to beat, sandwich or not.
I'm known for my tuna salad, usually albacore I've canned in the pressure cooker( Lemon Pepper is a Key ingredient). Many of our trips are multi-day so I mix up a big tupperware, bring some saltines, bread & we're set. Cheese/lettuce are a bonus for the tuna trips where getting out all the the sandwich fixins is pretty much the best way to get a troll strike & full foamer going. You can get as complex as youd like or just dip in a slice of bread & scoop out enough tuna to fold the bread in half for an instant one handed 1/2 sandwich or scoop snack size bites with crackers (saltines prefered).
Penuts are a great energy snack food as well as those little packages of 4 or 6 mini penut butter/crackers sanwiches. We buy those as well as the variety packs of potatoe chips in bulk.
I always bring one pint of milk for breakfast! Besides that it's a mixture of water, gatorade & beer :)
Good Topic!
Josh
