2416, Writing Your Own Book: The critics have spoken

Well, at least one to start...

If you guys haven't read Rob's article on the home page, you are in for one of the best fishing articles published. Chocked full of wisdom, Rob challenges each of us to get off our complacent butts and push the limits. It's time to start thinking again--about what we do that works and why, as well as finding new and better ways. Kudos, Rob.

I'll second that. I read the article last night and thought about it all day. Rob, great job!

Funny thing is I was making some comments to rob along those lines the night he updated, before I had read it :D Thought that was kinda weird.

Well, it took me a little while to find "Home Page" but I did and, what a great article. Just what I need to get me to really, seriously use y'all's West Coast tactics, baits, etc. Sometimes it's good to think and get "out of the box"!

Thanks guys, I'm glad you enjoyed the article. Saying what I said there is something you would probably never read in a magazine because magazines are tied too closely to their advertisers :) It doesn't do a magazine any good to publish an article telling people to think for themselves and use whatever seems right to them, because to pay the bills a magazine has to sell ads. And the advertisers want to read articles about their products. Can you blame them for it? No. But if you all knew the lead time on most major fishing magazine articles, you'd think twice about how fresh everything is!

I hope you don't mind my copying your article and pasteing it on another forum? Here is the thread: http://mastotalk.rcbassfishing.com//index.php?showtopic=351 Everyone is impressed with it over there too!

Sure that is no problem. I never mind if someone links to my site. Linking around to info/articles that is not spam or blatantly trying to sell something is always ok here as well.

NCBF has just released some cool video stuff, a long time in the works no doubt. Fun to watch, good info. I'm envious :) But everyone is welcome to do what they want to do online in the name of good taste and original content and we should all be glad for it.

That's cool what they did on the Clear Lake open. I wish I had working sound on my computer. Just watching the video was cool. Will you be going this year Rob? It would be great to meet you. I can't wait. I'm sure it will be a great experience.

I wish I could go to the Open. It turns out my sister's college graduation is that weekend so I can't make it. Nothing you can do about that kind of stuff :)
