I just purchased a Loomis BBR 966C and I am thinking about buying the Daiwa 300 CVX but wonder what choice of power handles do I have?

Hey fellow angler.
Before you buy that Daiwa check out the Shimano TE 300 and 400. Great castability, huge drag system, and perfect balance to that particular rod. I've had one since the day they came out and have put a lot of reels on em. They are pricy but once you fish one you can't believe it. Good luck on your choice.

Hey Burgie,

Thanks for the reply! How do you like this rod? I havn't got a chance to use it yet. What fish is the 966 good for? I plan on using it for throwing irons and live squid for yellows and maybe some shallow bottom.

Have you tried the CVX or the CVZ? They are awesome.

I've heard great thing about the cvx and cvz series, I thought I'd give Daiwa a try. I've seen the BBR the are nice rod, I was thinking about a muskie rod to thow those big trout plug. I hope you have fun catching those toads.
