Ok, this is going to be the new "Whats New and Hot" at BWW.com for next week. It is the Deka Hamakuru bait in rainbow trout color called a Mikey. The text is what is going on our site, and the bait will sell for $29.95 and is in stock at BWW and probably Anglers Marine as well. The Cherry crank is another bait we've been trying to get, but none have come in yet. Stay tuned.

"Its not really a swimbait. Its not really a crankbait. Its not really a topwater bait. It’s a Deka Hamakuru! The new Mikey from Jackall Bros. is a lure that defies classification. It can be slow cranked, twitched or burned across the surface at break-neck speeds. The dual joint design creates a wide wobble, as the head of the bait tracks straight either on top or sub-surface. The speed burn retrieve (as expertly demonstrated by Jackall lure designer Seigi Kato on the BWW test tank) is what really got our attention. The Mikey will slash across the surface with the action and noise only rivaled by an actual trout or baitfish trying to evade chasing bass. While holding the rod high, and cranking hard, this lure slashes wildly, yet still tracks straight. An amazing action, of which weve never seen in any other lure before. A definite must have when bass are keying in on trout or baitfish that are frantically trying to escape from predators on the surface. One color to start, others to follow……."

:) That's what I was gonna say. How big? How big?

It's about 6 inches long, weighing just over an ounce. A little small for a trout imitation, but the noise and water displacement makes it fish like a bigger bait. Here's a size comparison against the 7 inch Osprey. The Mikey is not in the same family as a Slammer, Monster Jack, etc. It's an entirely different animal. Jackall Bros. had a smaller one available earlier, but this is the first time the "bigger" one has been available in the States.

Hey CJ...that mikey is cool...does BWW or Anglers Marine carry any Deka Hamakuru R(around 95mm)?...its like the regular Hamakuru but with a lip on it...kinda a miniature version of Mikey...
Man I have been trying to find those Cherry Cranks everywhere...even in japan they are sold out fast!...the Cherry 1 Footer is really cool...and now they have the Cherry 0 Footer too...
Do you know how much those smaller hamakuru and Cherry cranks are in they US?

Check this site. You just have to check it every day or two to catch when they restock their inventory.
