Don't skimp when it comes to your eyes. Probably the most critical piece of gear you can have on the water. Buy an established brand and suck up the payola. Smith has been making shades for yrs and you can't beat the line of Action Optics for the price. Buy glass they will last you longer without as much care. Lens color is up to you, but rose or amber is best in low light conditions like fog or morn or eve or overcast. Neutral grey is good for bright days like on the ocean. When I commercial fished I had a few pairs for each condition. I have never regretted the price except at the register. The angle of polarization is critical, and Smith makes a science of it. You won't be as tired with a good pair either. If you fish for any extended period of time you will develop sun spots or burns on your eyes if you don't take care of them. Plus a good pair will help you see little things that matter such as fish or bottom contour. Do it!
